Science has never been my favorite subject and I dread teaching it however you are so natural when it comes to your demos and explanations.

Density is one of my favorite units to cover. The kids have so much fun seeing which items float or sink. 🧪

Love this experiment! It is usually one that I assign to my students for a presentation. 😊 Simple, but so informative 👍

Good Morning sweet friend, I love your enthusiasm for all things science. One of my favorite topics to teach, when I was in the upper grades. I think my students also loved it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us once again. Be blessed and enjoy your weekend!

Density is a bit above my students' level but I think I'm going to do this experiment because I like your use of the oil and honey really adds to the concept of sink/float. I was surprised by the tack. I thought it might float between water and honey. Great experiment Michelle. Blessings on your weekend, dear friend!

My kids love the sink or float experiments. We have not done this particular experiment, but it looks like lots of fun!

Wow. I was surprised by the density of some of the objects, especially the thumbtack and the clear ball. I think I was looking at the shape instead of the material that the object was made from. Whenever i am learning something new, it makes me smile. I did a lot of smiling during this presentation. Great job as always.

I love how you explain and go into detail to establish foundational knowledge before this experiment! It's rather interesting that you discussed the porousness of rocks because when I was teaching a forensic lesson on blood spatter and it's relationship with surface types, the students had to determine if a surface was porous or nonporous. And one 4th grader asked if it's like rocks... at first I didn't understand her question, but they learn about different types of rocks and soils in 3rd grade so she had background knowledge, which aided her in my lesson! Okay, I'm back to watching LOL
