Arduino IDE not starting - here's how i fixed it!

Thank but it still didn't work. I tried deleting everything except preferences.txt and nothing worked either

Mine gets stuck on the install screen. It just sits there with the logo. I bought a kit from amazon and downloaded this program to use with it but, it gets stuck on that install... I'll try this. Mine is 2.2.1
