Banshee's first appearance in comics was X-men #28 in Jan 1967, a long time before Claremont got to write him. He was created by Roy Thomas and Werner Roth. He was actually a mind controlled villian in the story controlled by a group called Factor 3.

If you read the actual Giant Size X-men comic, It wasn't Jean Grey who shoots Krakoa to space. It was the combined powers of Polaris & Storm. But Polaris alone did the heavy lifting. I'm not sure if the writers of X-men Genesis noticed this mistake.

Dude please please please do the what if on this. There's a what if story about the island and I can't remember if it's the team surviving and the 2nd team dies or if they all die and Vulcan comes back alone with Scott. I can't remember but Scott is in turmoil and he uses his vision to create sculptures of his fallen comrades. Super memorable panel.

How did Sinister know that Scott had more than one brother? He couldn't have known about Vulcan if he was in space. So their might be another Summer's brother out there.

Banshee was created way before Claremont's run on the book. Banshee was one of the characters created by Roy Thomas & Werner Roth after taking over the book from Stan Lee & Jack Kirby with issue #20.
