Rod of eternal king + abyssal + holly berry bait is so overpowered

20% chance for greedy
10% chance for abyssal
10% chance for jolly
80% chance to 1.3x your fish size. It’s only con is no insta catch, however you can use a shake macro to make it near instant, or you can stick to the traditional turning off UI and spamming enter + down key. Makes me 300k per hour in the depths with no luck multipliers


Also i tested this build whilst fishing in ancient isles in an aurora, it makes me *atleast* 150k
And thats when im *unlucky* . Also the fact holly berry also has +10 resilience on it makes it even better for ancient isles.

Its also really good macro-wise because if your macro misses a fish, it has a 15% to clone what you missed.


PS: i did the same thing with hasty enchant instead, and i got around the same thing in carbon’s video

Ngl I’m sad they nerfed garbage. It was really good for how cheap because of the 50 resilience from normal bait crates. It was -250 preferred but now it’s -250 universal so it’s useless now :(.

Carbon, Im pretty sure your opinion on the Rod of the Eternal King is just a skill issue. You can use a bait that increases resilience (make sure the lure speed debuff isnt higher than -5) and it wont affect the rod that much due to it already having the highest base luck stat in the game.

Hasty Sunken rod is by far the new best starter-mid game rod no contest insta catch available super early with just 15 lure speed from baits and you get it with the new sunken mutation its actually insane

i agree with rotff being more of a reliable rod for bossing. you can also purposely save your meg passive to double the meg/northern sea serpant catch when you do proc it.

for those wondering, the fischmas area is extremely bad for money
only the northstar serpent sells for more than 1k and you would want to keep it

They should add a mutation where everytime the megaladon brings you a fish with forgetten fang it should get the bitten mutation where it has a megaladon tooth stuck in it and it makes the price multiply by 3x becuase yk you managed to catch a fish with an ancinet sharks tooth in it

Hasty on rotff is overkill, quality with night shrimp would be an instant catch with more resilience and luck

Quality imo is better for no life rod because it already has the chance to make fish hexed, although it makes less money than abyssal mutation the rod has 90% lure speed. You will catch more fish in the same amount of time than most rods meaning more money in the same amount of time then lets say rotd and combined with hexed abyssal is redundant and i havent gotten that many abyssal fish with the enchant. Quality on the other hand is more useful because it boosts the rod in almost every aspect, most importantly making the lure speed faster meaning you will make even more money in the same amount of time, you will get a chance to lure better fish aswell

Qualitie would be better for no life because it gets in stant lure (105% lure speed) and you get 15% luck (120% luck) and 5% resilience (15% resilience) because then you could use better bait to get beter fish. Thats my opinion.

you kinda got 2 things wrong (unless they did a balance/bug fix update since i last checked) the rotff's ability is still worse than the rotd's, one being that the ability on the rotff requires perfect catches and two being that since it enters a "mode" it requires an extra catch, there for meaning you get the extra fish every 4th catch and 3 of those need to be perfect catches, to add to that the fish the megalodon gives is usually a slightly worse copy of that 4th fish you catch (it doesn't have the size bonus or the increased rarity) where as the rotd gives a fully random fish
