The Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), ranked among the best universities of science and technology research in the world, is the first university in Israel. So far, the Technion has awarded around 100,000 diplomas. Since its founding in 1912, it has formed generations of engineers, architects and scientists who play a key role in deploying Israel's state-of-the-art infrastructure and establishing its high-tech industries.
