so the most common mistake in home theater setups is not using a certified fiber optic HDMI cable that is sufficient bandwidth (48gbps) .... ppl need to know the HDMI cables will make a significant difference in the performance and compatibility of their system

Such simple advice that solves many HDMI issues. You would think that the monetary investment in a receiver or pre-pro would have owners digging into manuals during setup. The manuals are a trove of answers that teach so much about the product and the technology.

The reason why it's set to standard, is because of compatibility. Factory setting assured the most hassle free setting for the majority of equipment that's being used ..
