One time i just opened a world, got some wood, saw a bit of lead ore under me, dug down and got a dirtiest dirt block as my like 5th block i mined in that world

the reason the block is much rarer than the slime staff is the fact that you will be killing fucktons of slimes naturally and probably wont be obliterating your world into a sad pulp in the game

I got this by accident while I was mining out a really small area in a large world and had absolutely no idea how rare it was when I first got it.

7:38 TEdit doesn't actually count The Dirtiest Block™ as dirt blocks (Because they're too dirty), so the chances are actually 6/1, 003, 341. Not that that changes literally anything about the chances.

What a coincidence. I played over 1000 hours of Terraria and didn't realize this item existed, until last week. I came back from adventuring and noticed this one dirt block that wasn't auto-stacked to chests, tried to add it manually and it didn't work. Took me some time to realize it was actually a unique block.

if you use a clentaminator ( or terraformer) with white solution it turns all the dirt into snow leaving the dirtiest block as dirt. really helpful for finding it since instead of mining the entire world you just need to mine the holes to fall through. I think my area was about the same size as yours, maybe a little bigger, but it definitely was way faster. I still need the coin gun now

I have almost 1100 hours in terraria, and probably at least 400 of those have been after the dirtiest block was added. I have yet to find a single one.

Dirtiest Block is one candidate, but when I was doing an all pets run, I found a few others a lot more annoying. Unlucky Yarn, Dog Whistle, Amber Mosquito, these ones are all pretty awful and I'd put the first two as worse with Unlucky Yarn winning overall. Though, in the all pets run, it was actually Traveling Merchant that took the longest...

Celebration MK II is actually not much faster than Snowman Cannon, which is itself twice as fast as Rocket Launcher and can't hurt you so you can fly into where you're blowing up. This would have been a more potent upgrade than Rocket Launcher compared to Dynamite, actually, as Rocket Launcher is only 1.5x faster and that's with the assumption of shroomite bar rockets.

Also, you can buy quarter second timers from the Mechanic. 1 slime statue is 120 slimes per minute, 3 statues is 360.

This item is wierd for me. On one hand, having this casually is a huge flex. But on the other, its one of the worst looking pets in the game

When I was introducing my friend to Terraria, I was telling him about the dirtiest block and started digging randomly at spawn for a few seconds and I found it almost instantly.

There's also another item with similar rarity, it being the Glow Tulip, though its easier to find due to glowing in the dark and showing up on a Metal Detector

funny thing is that in terms of consistency, it might straight up be faster to copy a speedrun guide of terraria journey mode and then use celebration mk 4 to turn the surface into a crater to get the block faster
