Insta360 Go 3 Hands On Review: Innovative, Creative but no 4K

The Insta360 Go 3 is the latest tiny action camera from Insta360. With this version we get a boost in video resolution, new shooting modes & a much more advanced Action Pod. Let's see if it's worth buying.

The Go 3 is a tiny action camera with excellent stabilization and the ability to mount nearly anywhere. The previous Go range of cameras have proven to be creative powerhouses and the Go 3 retains the same design.

With a maximum 2.7K shooting resolution you won't be getting crystal clear quality, but for the size of the camera it's not too bad. The selling point is definitely the size which allows for nearly unlimited shooting perspectives.

In this hands on review of the Go 3 I take you through what's changed from the last version as well as what the Go 3 can do.

I have ordered one today so i am binge watching video's and this seems to be the most honest video from people who have had one sent to them by Insta to review, i have learned so much more from you about this camera than i have from any of the others who all seem to be so desperate not to find any fault in the camera so insta sends them the next new model. As they say honesty does pay but not so sure insta will think the same. Great vid, well done 😏

Thank you for your very detailed review and video samples! The 'revolution' didn't happen at all. Just a logical evolution. While we may be sad about not having 4k here, with this lens and censor the quality is bad anyway. I was thinking to buy it, but now I will skip it.

Thanks for a totally honest review. When I watch reviews I always have a judicial amount of skepticism. Most reviewers are afraid that if they don't give a good review the manufacturer will cut them off.
I do own an insta360 X3. Very happy with it. Even before your review I decided not to buy the go 3. It just doesn't fit my needs. I already own 3 go pros.
If I'd seen your review first it would have saved me from watching 10 other reviewers.

I got 2 of Go 2 and it’s awesome. I feel 32gb is more than enough since it’s only for short burst recording. I put this tiny cam everywhere including inside my dog drinking bowl. Vids in my channel. I’ll definitely get this Go3

for that much money, even 4 K can't. This is not good. Therefore, for the price, we can expect at least 4 K recording from it.

I find it quite appalling that this camera keeps getting bigger and more expensive with every new version and yet, once again and unbelievably it still doesn't do the O N L Y thing that even the original GO needed, to shoot 4K video. A resounding no thank you and my full lack of understanding what the people at Insta360 are thinking about regarding price, the competition and the state of things and technology as we stand now. If they sell millions of these anyway, then the better as I wish them no less than the best of luck on all their endeavors even of this one is of totally not interest to me.

PS - And the standard tripod thread mount removed? You have got to be kidding
