No one in my family was lucky enough to get their turkey license this year but three seasons ago my son was fortunate enough to get drawn and even more fortunate to get a very nice 19 1/2 pound Tom ! We just cut it up and made Turkey strips with most of it. Although they were delicious it’s good to know other ways to cook it. If I ever get my license I’ll try these. Thanks

We need to start stocking our native trout species as well as perch and panfish. Atleast 1 species each of Lepomis, Pomoxis, Ambloplites would be ideal. (northern sunfish, pumpkinseed, bluegill, crappie, rockbass) Instead, we stock non native trout that keep dying off from winter and summer kills and call the native species invasive. Lol. Albertans want to turkey hunt but dont plant bur oaks, white walnuts, shagback hickory, beaked hazelnut, northern hackberry or staghorn sumac. Makes no sense. Why would they stay in an area without winter forage? I say native and naturalized, not invasive. Jmho
