Boeing Starliner delay

As Joe Biden just tripped and fell on stage in the Air Force graduation ceremony in Colorado, the Boeing Starliner had an equally embarrassing slip.
Yeah, NASA and Boeing officially delayed the first crewed flight test of the Starliner capsule…again!
And this time it's indefinitely delayed.
How Funny!
All this and more in today's episode of Great SpaceX:
The Starliner astronaut launch, already years behind schedule, was most recently targeted to launch two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station on July 21. Now, it likely won't launch at all this summer, and may not get off the ground this year.
At a briefing on June 1 announced on little more than an hour’s notice, officials said they were standing down from preparations for the Crew Flight Test (CFT) of the spacecraft, with two NASA astronauts on board next month.
The first issue, and the most serious it sounds like from Boeing, was a lower-than-expected stress limit on Starliner’s parachute system.
It's over! Starliner was delayed again...

To be resolved, thank you.

Screw Boeing. Give the money to SpaceX.

mistakes like this are termination level offenses. Boeing needs to clean house and make examples or close the doors.

This could be a case study on what's wrong with defense contractors. I'm so sick of this.... They're going to cost us the entire damn

$4.2B v $2.6B and NASA is getting a far better return on investment from SpaceX than what they've spent on Boeing. First ULA, then BO, now Boeing having constant delays and set backs. Meanwhile SpaceX keeps getting better and better. I understand why NASA wants to have two options on getting to the ISS but at some point they must become more prudent with taxpayer funds. This is almost becoming a joke

At this point I feel Boeing should have to pay back the money given to it over the past several years.

Incredible on the parachute issue. Crew Dragon originally also had 3 chutes and could have landed safely with 2, but NASA insisted on increased redundancy and ordered SpaceX to go with 4 chutes, while allowing Star Liner to proceed with 3. It's telling that SpaceX was able to turn around that change requirement and still beat Boeing to orbit. LOL

“Hello, SpaceX?”
“Yes…, how may I direct your call?”
“This is Boeing. I’d like to speak to Sales about buying a couple of your big rockets you have on your Boca Chica lot.”
“Please hold while I transfer you.”

When will NASA learn that this out dated star liner is no longer needed?

The thing won't ever fly. The engineers and executives know this, and are keeping it hanging to keep their mid 6-figure salaries coming as long as possible.

How come nobody says gives us our money back we paid them?

Fine example of the sunken cost fallacy.

What I find amazing is that any astronauts are willing to to fly on this hot mess... 🤔😲😆

At this rate if NASA wants a second option so bad they would be better off paying SpaceX to independently make a second capsule from Dragon.

At 3:39, The text says Mark Nappi, but the photo in the background looks like Charles Bolden.

The picture at 3.38 was of Charlie Bolden, former NASA astronaut and the agency's 12th administrator. Oops!

Scrap to damn program and save us some money. Another great reason to scrap the cost plus system.

Elon-time is 2 or 3 months, Boeing-time is 3 or 4 YEARS!
