Vessel pulls 25,000 pounds of plastic from ocean

I served in military from 07-11. Was on a naval ship for first deployment. Worked in mess hall for a few weeks. Every day after every meal we would get all the garbage bags and literally throw them overboard. I thought it was shitty, but that was the protocol. We were 1 ship in a fleet of at least 7. So, imagine how much garbage was going in daily.
