Namijäljen tekeminen - alkeet / Basics of doing track

Namijäljen tekemisen alkeet yhdellä tyylillä: jälki tehdään myötätuuleen. Käytetään pehmeähköjä nameja, jotka on helppo syödä pureskelematta. Namien koko sellainen, ettei koiran tarvitse kaivaa ja tonkia niitä jäljeltä. Askelpituus koiran koon mukaisesti. Askeleet melko lähellä toisiaan sivusuunnassa. Namin voi oman maun mukaan laittaa päkiän tai kantapään alle. Jotkut laittavat joka askeleelle kaksi namia eli askeleen etu- ja loppuosaan. Alkuun laitetaan pienelle tallatulle alueelle (neliö/kolmio) useampi nami. Samoin loppuun laitetaan useampi nami tallatulle alueelle (tai joku muu lopettava palkkio).

The basics of making a trail in one style: the trail is made downwind. We use soft treats that are easy to eat without chewing. The size of the treats is such that the dog does not have to dig and chew on them. Step length according to the size of the dog. Steps quite close to each other laterally. Treats can be placed under the toe or heel according to your own taste. Some people put two treats for each step, i.e. at the front and end of the step. At the beginning, several treats are placed on a small stamped area (square/triangle). Likewise, at the end, more treats are placed in the trodden area (or some other finishing reward).
