I'm in a marching band, and every time we have a competition, it is so hard to stay in time while the bands around us are playing their separate cadences. Especially when they are literally 3ft away from us while marching in. Can't even hear the cadence anymore it's just get the mark time into your head and hope you don't screw up.

One time we had a concert where some of us had to clap loudly for half the song(us low brass players) and the kids in the audience started clapping and the problem was that we were clapping on beat right, but the kids were clapping literally one bad a half beats off and it was throwing us off
