Wow 10 minutes ago I said to my husband we need to build a trellis for all of these peas! Perfect timing. Thanks!

Love the teaching, love your willingness to get soaked to help us out, and i love the humor! Your videos are one of the best parts of my day, Luke! You're such a REAL PERSON, your passion for gardening is contagious, and it's so amazing to have someone right here in MI to guide me in my unpredictable multi-weather gardening state! Your educational videos have helped me so much. I just ordered 3 kinds of blueberry plants from you and ALL of my garden seeds for this year! I pray God's blessings over your business, your greenhouse, your Youtube channel and of course Mrs. MIgardener and family. Keep up the great work! P.S. I'm from Bay City and am planning a day trip out to your new store soon! Have a blessed day 😇🙏✌️🍅🫑🥔🧄🍄🧅🫘🥦🥒🍓🫛🍎🥕

Just ate my first batch of peas for dinner last night in NC. Planted Feb 2. Peas, beans, legumes, clover, and some related plants should be innoculated with nitrogen fixing bacteria. Wet the seeds and sprinkle on the innoculant, which is a black powder. I think the bacteria are species-specific, but the commercial innoculant is a mix. You can apply the innoculant to the soil after planting. The bacteria grow in nodules on the roots.

“It’s like a scene from the Notebook out here” 😂
Great trellising advice, even better humor.

I admire your resolve, Luke. 😂 And, hey all that rain will help those peas germinate all the faster.

You have made me so happy! I"ve been looking for an easy and inexpensive way to trellis my sweet peas! I was about to go to Lowe's, but I have some bamboo stakes that I can use instead of buying anything! Thank you so much!

Nice simple solution Luke. Long ago I learned a trick from an old organic gardener. He used 'branchy sticks'. Just poke the thick end into the ground and the peas will climb them easily. I wish I could upload a pic for you. Some trees have better suited branchy sticks than others.

I use yarn last year and it did good, not that very sturdy but it worked good for me so far, but I'll use d twine next time..I have sown my peas in 5 gallon buckets too and I used tomato cages ...

I am a beginner as a gardener with my first attempt at growing peas. I was excited when I looked out this morning and my peas are covered in white blossoms.

I like this idea. I think I’ll screw my small post to the side of the bed for more stability and permanence. Thanks for this tip.😊

Here's a peek of sun for you 🌞! I might be in the minority but actually I love gardening in the light rain and on cloudy days, there's something so tranquil about that weather and I don't have to wear sunglasses to see what I'm doing.

I usethis method for peas, cucumbers, cucamelons and make teepees using this method also. Works great, sometimes needs some maintenance but is quick, easy and cheap. I've been doing it for forty years. Last yearIgot some hortanova netting which I really like also and is pretty cheap on Amozon. I wasn'sure I would getmore tnan one season but I will be reusing tbis year. I will seehowitholds up.

Thank you. In the south, we have tabacco sticks. They are used to hold the stalks of tabacco in the barns while drying. They are oak 1.5" sq and 5' long. Perfect for this. God Bless and stay safe.
