@0:27 Koch defines protectionism as "[t]he urge to protect ourselves from change..."

That's not what protectionism is... but it does seem to make it a hair less ridiculous for him then to show Blockbuster and Circuit City as victims of protectionism... using his special definition.

Perhaps he thought it was easier to attack a fabricated definition of protectionism than to defend free trade.

(Personally, I'd prefer fair trade.)
