Just the Tip | Happening Now with Hammer

Hammer & Adam have a heart-to-heart about tipping across the globe. How much is too much? How much is too little? When is it appropriate and when are you being offensive with your weird, little tip.

How much do you tip in America? What about when you travel over seas? And how the hell are we supposed to know the difference?

If the bartender gives you a stiff non watered down drink that’s a tip

I don't mind the tablets/pads at the table. I find it easier to pay my bill that way and add the tip without having to wait for the waiter to return. What has become offensive for tipping, is requesting a tip for jobs that were never tipped before. For example, most fast food places now ask for a tip on the credit card machine. I've been eating at some of these places for the last 40 years, we never tipped. If I have to stand in line, order off the wall, pay at the counter, go fill my own cup at the soda fountain, then walk back up to get my food when it is ready why should I leave or be expected to leave a tip? What did that employee do to earn a tip? They are already being paid to make the food.
