no band, no singer, no group of musicians has ever touched my soul and my life like queen... none what so ever. I've been a massive fan of Queen since early 80s and I was about 10. they were the first band I really sat up and took notice of. I really felt like a fan once I knew all their names lol, big deal for me as a kid because I never had that level of interest in another band to know who was who and who did what. but queen I played obsessively... so obsessively that I practically played nothing else for some years... all queen and freddie's solo stuff non stop. queen are without doubt MY band.... THE band... I'm in my 40s now, and they've always been a passion of mine... quite an obsessive passion... kinda weird saying that lol I'm in my 40s and obsessively passionate about queen... really truly love freddie so much, all of them... what I feel inside myself is like what you see girlies did for the beatles and take that lol. seems kinda weird when I think of it like that. it's just a love. I never understood the screaming girls for beatles and take that, but love for a band, real love for a band. I get it. maybe I'm just to manly and restrained to be a screamer and don't succumb to outward hysteria... but queen... if god were to remove music from the universe and leave only one band then for me that one band will always be queen. thank you guys, John, Roger, Brian and our Freddie. <3 just thank you. <3

This song makes me cry...
...for the love I missed?
...for the voice that is too perfect?
I'll just make a drink and play it again... Cheers Freddie..

I think many people don't realize how great of a lyricist/singer-songwriter Freddie is.

This has to be the most underrated Queen song. Who agrees?

Something that will always surprise me about Queen is the ability they had to play any kind of music. It's incredible. They were amazing.

If My Melancholy Blues was written 90 years ago it would be considered a one of the greatest blues songs of all time on the same level as Summertime and would have been covered as often as Yesterday.
As great as Freddie Mercury was and as appreciated as he is he was actually even greater and under rated because of how truly beyond amazing he was.

And then, all of a sudden, there's John Goofy.

Part of what made Queen great was their refusal to limit themselves to rock. Their multi-genre approach to music gave them a unique and timeless voice.
