The turret spinning around to show the battle raging in the background while Koba kills the crew in the foreground is such a creative and well executed shot. Why is the talking ape movie better than 90% of modern blockbusters?

An ape on horseback shooting two automatic rifles will always be the peak action movie aspiration👌🏼

You can feel Koba's rage as he attacks the humans. Very well done villain and managed to make an ape riding a horse with two guns work so well.

Koba’s command style was just charge, attack and die. If Caesar was involved, he would’ve done stealthy ninja style without casualties.

That tank turret going 360 showing the entire battle is one hell of a longshot.

I love it when Koba unleashes his anger when he uses the two guns to shoot at humans.

I know Koba is supposed to be the messed up one but the moment he went blazing in with two LMGs in hand while riding on a horse goes absolutely hard🤌🏼🔥

I love how Kobe doesn’t look horrified that a bunch of apes got blown up in front of him, but rather is just like “oh, oops, that happened”

Koba believes Caesar is weak because he is unwilling to fight the humans. When in reality it makes Caesar a very wise leader. A good leader evaluates a situation and looks at all the alternatives and only chooses to fight if there is no other way. If you rush blindly into battle (like Koba) then you loose lives on both sides, which is what happened when Koba took over. Apes lost their lives to a war that could’ve been avoided if Koba hadn’t struck first. This is what Caesar was trying to tell Koba, if peace is an option than a good leader searches for it. War isn’t pretty and anyone who rushes blindly into it is a fool. Koba could have let go of his hatred, but instead he let rage guide him and let his past determine his fate.

0:14 I love this scene so much, as someone who’s been forced to fight back against constant bullying and unfair oppression for being disabled my entire life, I feel every ounce of Koba’s wrath and then some. To say this scene is therapeutic would be a gargantuan understatement

Hate him all you want. You got to give it to Koba. He was on the front line with all the smoke. Even though he sent multiple apes to their deaths with some of his commands the moment he saw an equalizer he handled it himself (the tank). If only he knew how to operate the lower portion of it.

Koba surpass the rules of the apes with this attack: killed a lot of humans, burned is home, killed a lot of apes with guns, killed Ash in front of his best friend, started an useless war, tryed to kill Caesar 2 time... can't blame Caesar don't recognize him like an ape anymore.

You gotta admit, Koba showed a lot of bravery in this scene. While he might be a bit of a coward towards Cesar. His hate of humans outweighed any fear or cowardice.
