Nick MacKenzie, born as Nick van den Broeke (Bandung, March 2, 1950), is a Dutch singer, who was especially successful in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany under the wings of music producer Jack de Nijs in the early 1970s.
MacKenzie played with The Secrets and The Comets. In 1969 he joined Road. This band came into contact with Jack de Nijs in 1971 and a modest hit was created with the title "Never leave me lonely". When the band disbanded in 1973, Nick MacKenzie continued with Jack de Nijs. From 1973 to 1975 Nick toured extensively in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany with his re-established band Road, this time with Belgian musicians from Antwerp. Several solo singles were released, some of which became major national and international hits.
In 1980 Nick MacKenzie teamed up with Henk van Broekhoven, with the record label Telefunken Decca, from which the hit song "Hello Good Morning" was born.
