Venezuela opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez flees to Spain | DW News

Venzuela's opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia is en route to Spain, where he is seeking political asylum. Venezuelan authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest, after he said he won recent elections.
Spanish authorities confirmed Gonzalez was traveling in a Spanish Air Force plane. He had sought refuge at Spain's embassy in Caracas. Incumbent Nicolas Maduro was declared the winner of July's election, despite the opposition saying it had evidence Gonzalez had won. The Venezuelan government said he was granted safe passage to leave.

Mientras en su interior este el objetivo de vivir en un pais de libertad, respeto a la dignidad humana, prosperidad y la libre expresion; esta lucha no ha terminado, es decir el presidente: Edmundo Gonzalez Urutia, elegido con el soporte de 68% de los votos de los venezolanos estara a resguardo y en pie delucha para hacer valer la decicion de la mayoria que lo apoyaron la soberania radica en el voto, y el pueblo Venezolano eligio un cambio. Un cambio de la desidia por progreso, por todas las necesidades de servicios de agua potable, electricidad, servicios de salud, etc por un nuevo gobierno que su objetivo sea el bienestar de su pueblo y no de un regimen que es mas importante su idealismo socialista-dictatorial que su pueblo! el mismo pueblo que alguna vez lo coloco en el poder. es tiempo de la Paz representada a traves del respeto de el soberano !
