We are looking at some of the more interesting surveying projects we have undertaken in 2019, our 35th year of being in business. This footbridge point cloud survey and model project was one of those. We worked to support the engineers on a footbridge in Wolverhampton.

CADS was approached by Nusteel a structural and fabrication company, who asked us to provide a laser scan for a public footbridge. This was a council project to rejoin two separate bridge parts and required a highly accurate measured survey. CADS supplied the HD 3D model which Nusteel used to produce a detailed design to help build a new bridge connection to affix to the existing structure.
