Put his money where his mouth was and found out the truth. Good on him

You know what, I respect that. That is real journalism.

One of the rare people who said 'change my mind' and actually meant it.

He actually tried it and changed his mind. That’s admirable.

Proper journalism. I am gladdened by his integrity. We need more journalists willing to put the work in

This guy is respectable because he actually found out for himself and changed his mind instead of blindly believing something incorrect

Christopher was a REAL one. Never backed down in the media but always admitted when he was wrong

If only more people were this willing to be proven wrong.

Edit: I seem to have sparked a debate

You have to respect a guy who actually tries to experience what he claims isn't so bad and being okay with getting proved wrong

Actually giving it a try to prove his point really shows his dedication, even if it could mean his passing

Dude is a real G. Talked shit, backed it up, realised he had fucked up, and had the balls to admit it

“Waterboarding specialist” is the most unhinged job description that I’ve ever heard of

Not just a journalist, but a man of integrity. RIP a legend

Hitchens was a man of integrity. He was both blunt and witty when defending his positions in certain matters, but understood the need to challenge his beliefs. It doesn’t surprise me that he volunteered for this.

I can respect this type of "need to be right"...when you're wrong, you admit it.

I have a lot of respect for that guy! Too many people with such strong opinions on topics they know nothing about

After watching this, take a second to realize the cia does this regularly to inmates at Guantanamo Bay. John Kiriakou did prison time for exposing it.

Damn, a few seconds of his life gives him mini panic attacks for a long time after? This must be real bad torture
Edit: this edit made the heart disappear but I still wanna say, to anyone who went through anything traumatic, I’m sorry u had to go through that

Torture is not useful anyway, it just forces people to blurt out anything in hope for it to stop even if they are innocent.
