Weight, Mass, Gravity - (Weight = Mass x Gravitational Field Strength w=mxg) - GCSE Physics
Показать описание
Weight and mass are not the same.
Mass is the amount of stuff in an object, and the object’s mass will therefore not change anywhere in the universe.
Whereas the weight of an object is a force acting on the object due to the pull of the gravitational field strength acting on the object.
The higher the pull of the gravitational force on the object, the larger it’s weight.
The equation that links weight, mass and gravitational field strength is:
Weight (N) = mass ( kg ) x gravitational field strength ( N/kg )
