Weight, Mass, Gravity - (Weight = Mass x Gravitational Field Strength w=mxg) - GCSE Physics

Показать описание

Weight and mass are not the same.
Mass is the amount of stuff in an object, and the object’s mass will therefore not change anywhere in the universe.

Whereas the weight of an object is a force acting on the object due to the pull of the gravitational field strength acting on the object.

The higher the pull of the gravitational force on the object, the larger it’s weight.

The equation that links weight, mass and gravitational field strength is:
Weight (N) = mass ( kg ) x gravitational field strength ( N/kg )

hello! what is the gravitational field strength of earth? I checked google it told me 10N/kg but here in this video wrote 9.8N/kg...I'm a little confused. Or is it that it depends on the question for the gravitational field strength? Thank you sir!

How do you know that the mass is 100 kg at both earth and moon. How can anyone find the actual mass of an object.. I know how to calculate weight but not mass
