I'm Acespec and still living at home.

I recently bought a hanging crystal to hang in my window, so when the light hits it, rainbows are reflected around my room. My family are none the wiser!

The best thing is, if you're young and have a birthday coming up (or wanna wait until Xmas), you can ask this and your folks will just think you're buying something for your window! 🏳️‍🌈

EDIT: Thanks for the likes everyone :) be safe and be well this pride month x

having extremely ignorant parents is mostly a curse, but has its blessings, since anything short of a full-on pride flag flies under their radar 🙃👍🏻
2 year update: I'm now 20 and living with my bf, and I can now wear rainbows without having to make excuses or hide it from them 🌈

As a straight male I want to say happy pride month for every body. Remember PRIDE since 1966 is an acronym for Personal Rights in Defense and Education. But, first and foremost it is the acronym for "Promote Respect, Inclusion, and Dignity for Everyone".

For those who are still scared, alone, or feel unsupported. The LGBTQ+ community is there for you. Even straight people support you. If your family is not understanding or there for you. There is another family that will accept you for who you are. We are all looking for equality! And to be able to express who we are.

Have a great pride month and shine!

what I've been doing is making bracelets with my flag colors and put them on my ankles so they were hidden by my boots, and the other day i beaded the laces of my combat boots with the flags since no one really plays attention to the laces.

I once had a background with the ace flag colors that looked just like a regular background to my family

For Pride month, I’m painting a cute dragon statue the ace flag colors! Obviously, I’m going to paint him in a way that isn’t too obvious.
P.S- How do you come out as ace to a conservative family? I fear that they might tell me that everyone is like that and invalidate my feelings.
Edit: I came out to my dad and he accepts me! His side of the family wasn’t really the side I was worried about, but it sure is a start!

I'm Bi, but I have to hide it from my entire family as they're all homophobic. These tips really help a lot to make me feel validated in my own home. Thank you for all of your amazing content! :D

Thank you so much for these tips! I came out to my mom recently as bi recently, but she thought I was a bit too young to label myself so I still kind of feel closeted. I really want to buy pride pins and stuff, but I know I probably can't :/ Especially since she doesn't want me being super public about it. I guess I'll just wait till I'm old enough and can have a pride flag .
