Показать описание
Part 1: The Rare Bear is one of the fastest foamie RC model planes you can buy and in the first part of this review I take a look at what you get for your money, and how easily this little model goes together.

There are also a few tips in this video -- such as how to modify an ESC for cooler running and longer life.

Watch for part 2 of this video coming soon.

I've got my RB Bruce all built bench tested and ready to fly - but I'm not game to until I see part 2 of this review! Thanks in anticipation.

I have to say that this review prompted me to read the Wikipedia article on the Rare Bear - what a story!
thanks for the review, sir!

Bruce, I am a new subscriber and now you are one of my favorite sites! I really like how you explain things and also appreciate the tips...the esc heat sink tip is gold.
Thanks

thanx bruce. I got mine today and will be putting it together. because its the race version for HK they didn't add a build manual. This helps so much. Thanks again

i ordered one for christmas and i also ordered a 3s battery.. when i got the package i heard something rattling aroun and it worried me, come christmas day when i opened it i found that the rattling was the battery i ordered with it inside with the plane and not secured down at all! luckily nothing on the plane was damaged but they could consider paying more attention when packaging and not just leave a loose battery with the plane.... but it is a really awesome plane!!!

Bruce, OH&S, please use disposable rubber gloves when handling epoxies etc.Lots of these things contain cancer causing chemicals. Great build video, interesting, informative and entertaining. Thank you.

Hi Bruce- thanks for your great videos! Do you know if I can fit a typical 1300mAh 3S lipo in the rarebear and will it not be too heavy? Also as the ailerons extend most of the length of the wings, do you think flaperons would be effective without tip stalling (of course if ailerons are too short, flaperons don't work as well and may induce tip stalling, but the rarebear's aielrons are long)? Cheers!

Bruce, the unpacking was the hardest part of the exercise no doubt. I think you may have broken the aileron horn at 1:24. After that it hangs down. Just what it looks like. Maybe it wasn't too well glued in any case.

And thanks for the ESC tip. I will start cutting..

you can bend up a paper clip and strap/glue it to the exposed metal and it will work better as a heatsink.

I have a feeling my Mini Mustang will blow this bubble plane away ;) What made you get a Care Bear?

@RCModelReviews The 4 channel FrSky receiver you are using has a range of 500m according to the HK website. With rare bear being a speed demon 500m can be covered in a few seconds. Have you lost signal? I'm thinking about getting a FrSky receiver with more channels that seems to come with longer range.
