This is the third step in the trained retrieve process. The smaller steps you take in dog training the faster you will get there. So we break the behavior of "hold" down into very small steps so we can build on the small victories and set our dog up to succeed! Watch as we get Hex used to holding lots of different objects! Getting dogs used to different sizes, weights, shapes and textures of objects is important to generalize the behavior of "holding"!

Have you done a video on the table you are using, dimensions and so forth? Is it a custom table?

Great learning video. Question my GSP will retrieve any from land to water but does not like picking up pheasants. ( fluffy under belly feathers. Do I need to force train ?
