is this outdated? I have tried your trick, but the new (and horrible) new outlook automatically comes on / converts

Just uninstall "new outlook" from your apps, then set "Mail" as your default mail application (use search and type default apps, should be at the top). This will automatically set the value shown in the video to zero, you will however still see the toggle on your Mail app to "try the new outlook" do not toggle it or you will automatically have the new outlook reinstalled and you will have to do this again.

So I know how to revert back to classic mail when new outlook opens up on its on every week or so, but it seems like Microsoft is going to force everyone to use in it 2024, so my question is, is there any way to prevent that from happening? I have many email accounts that go through classic mail and one of them will not open in the new outlook because its a pop3, so I really don't want to mess with the new outlook at all. Is there a hack to just stop Microsoft from forcing me to use their stupid new thing?

mine is ZERO but it still AUTO updates, how can I STOP the auto changing to new outlook?

after regedit, value 0, old outlook stats to open the closes no error, can it be reinstalled?

So do the secondary instructions work if you don't have a paid subscription? so I guess that is the problem!? most everyone is using a free basic version of outlook and outlook is limiting features so they can get people to pay for there service, technology is such a joke!

This is not outdated, just a Microsoft Employee trying to get you to buy a subscription apparently, even then however microsoft mail is never going to work again, ya know, the morons that now work on the broken, well, everything they touch. Sorry, but it is true.
