Nonverbal communication is one of many tools that can help you make a good impression in interviews and in your professional life. However, candidate assessments should be based on skills and qualifications, and workplaces should strive to be inclusive and understanding of individual differences in communication styles.

I notice you read through this whole presentation, even when you were giving an example of introducing yourself. Is it OK to read off a script in an interview?

Thank you for all of these tips! My upcoming interview is for an internal role. I love the company that I work for and would like to move up in the company. Do you have any suggestions on how I might adjust my introduction, as I have never met my interviewer before?

ugh i hate the examples like that where someones like "after managing 2 start up tech companies" or some bs that sounds really great. I cant relate with that at all, if i could, i probably wouldnt be interviewing for a job cus id have the one i wanted. i just wanna say "i wanna live a life of dignity with a living wage and not have to break my back laboring for it." but yes i know that holds no value to employers.

This does nothing for people who have little or no real background. Also assumes most people aren't just trying to get more money from higher paying Jobs.
