FGAN FHR bistatic SAR airborne - ground - airborne acquisition by AER-II on Do 228 / PAMIR on C-160

Bistatic SAR image acquired during experiments in the early 2000s by FGAN FHR for the joint DFG research initiative Bistatic Exploration (PAK 59) between ZESS of the University of Siegen and Fraunhofer FHR.

Airborne Transmitter is AER-II looking towards nadir on a Dornier Do 228 while the radar receiver PAMIR was sidelooking aboard the C-160 Transall.

The data was recently reprocessed at ZESS Radar Lab after re-estimation of the TX-RX oscillator differences and the antenna pointing of the radar systems.
