Just got one. Brilliant and silky smooth. So refined. Program 4 parameters and it does exactly what you want when you want. Shifts quicker and smoother than any human can. Why be a stubborn purist about manual shifting with a clutch? Best bike I’ve ever had in 40 years of riding. Hard to believe. This is the future with Honda leading the way. Others will follow.

I bought mine last month. Love the bike. Thought after 56yrs in the saddle I'd never own a bike like this as I've always owned sport bikes or off road bikes. Over a100 bikes later, here I am. Love the DCT. The seat was the first thing to go, opted for the Mustang. Put a taller windscreen on it (Honda) replaced the foot pegs and added a bar riser with a 1" back. It's now perfect for me!

Idc what anyone says this bike has everything I like and want as a beginner rider

Would be cool if more manufacturers put out a DCT (with manual paddles) version of their bikes. I feel like more people would start riding. A Yamaha MT07 with DCT/paddles would be a blast!

You hit the nail on the head as I'm a rider in NYC, people just don't now how to drive and don't care who they hurt on their way to their destination. It's the ultimate adventure here.

As a 30 year old who's riden everything from Harley's to super sports to adventure bikes, I never thought I would see myself having so much interest in this BUT when you love two wheels you'll love anything with two wheels. I'm torn between the 1100t and 1100t dct, I don't want to get it solely because of the uniqueness, but I also really want to get into touring so never having to deal with that shit really perks my ears and makes my hot dog hard.

Dude, you're killin' me. I want to ride one so badly, and yours looks perfect with the Harley look, but Honda reliability.

Just bought the '23 Rebel 1100T Manual and love it. Got in in Gloss/Matte Black Finish and it looks hella mean. Great review as always!

"It's like a semi-automatic." I love it already.

I love my manual 1100. Who knows why they went chain drive with it, but its a solid bike even without the DCT
Side note: Its the exact same bike as the original rebel 1100 so its not built specifically for touring. Its supposed to be a midweight cruiser. the fairing and bags are definitely an after thought.

I told Beau already, but you guys have an open invite to do a first ride video on my modified manual Rebel 1100 for comparison’s sake 😏👀

The most industrial looking bike I've ever seen. Looks like it was designed behind the Iron Curtain in 1963. It's a purely functional machine stripped of all the romance that makes most bikes cool. Is this a bad thing? NO IT IS NOT. For the money you get a great all around bike that has more power than any cruiser Honda has ever made except the Vtx1800 (Runes don't count). It has a lot of electronic features and is very up to date. I wouldn't get the DCT tho for a lot of reasons. It's so ugly it's beautiful. I'm a fan.

You can dial the "User Mode" to EXACTLY how you like it. For example, I have mine dialed in at full power, with little Traction control, little Engine braking, and half way in gear change.
Everyone is different, but I've had my bike a little over 2 years with 17, 000 on it and for the most part, I keep it in that mode.

I think this might be the perfect bike for me exactly because I’m short n a beginner rider glad I came upon this video

I have the 2021 1100DCT and after a few mods, it is darn near perfect. (Mini Apes, Forward controls, and a nice Corbin seat. And BAMN, perfect bike.
Totally agree with you on the weird placement of the cruise control buttons.
Dyno-Jet Commander 6 COMPLETELY eliminates the herky jerkyness of the throttle. And, it's just plug & play with easy install.
I put forward controls on mine and it made it a LOT more comfortable. Love your channel man.
Peace.

I agree with you, I have this bike and so far have only been using "manual" mode. I also put Depretto forward controls which give you some more leg room, plus ordered a taller shield from a company called Gustafsson plastics.
