It's funny that they should write "As Stevenson wrote it, so it is made", because from the looks of this preposterous trailer, the film is nothing like the book. To turn a complex character who is several times referred to as the devil into a one-dimensional wrongly deprived hero betrays a complete lack of subtlety and nuance. This swashbuckling tale is a disgrace to the novel. I just wish the book would be refilmed as the psychological thriller that it is.
