Mass uploading and loading of data from excel using reusable app package utilizing JAVA Objects

Users find it time consuming to manually enter/feed numerous transactions on to the PeopleSoft page.

Solution
Created “Template maintenance page” to enable user to set-up spreadsheet Templates. Then, they were stored in the database so that user could download the template later, and fill the template with transactions and upload. Tech Detail: Reusable App package that utilizes java objects to read the spreadsheet, and use the EXCEL-TO-STAGING mapping configuration page to identify where the excel sheet data should be stored in database/staging. Then we used CI to load the transaction from staging to target component so that business edits were applied and the transaction status was captured successfully.
