Évora: A Journey Through Time! From Roman ruins to prehistoric wonders, I spent an unforgettable day uncovering the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage city. Starting with the awe-inspiring Roman Temple of Évora, I dived into the city's past, walking through the remnants of Roman baths hidden beneath the Câmara Municipal. The historic Sé Cathedral offered incredible rooftop views, while the Church of São Francisco and the haunting Chapel of Bones left a lasting impression.

Venturing beyond the city, I explored Cromeleque dos Almendres, a mysterious stone circle older than Stonehenge, plus the Menhir do Almendre. Along the way, I fueled up with some of Évora’s best coffee at Café Arcada, indulged in traditional Alentejo flavors at Café Alentejo, and soaked in the local charm at Praça do Giraldo.

Évora truly is a living museum, blending Roman, medieval, and prehistoric history into a single fascinating destination. If you love ancient mysteries, incredible food, and timeless architecture, this is a must-visit!

📍 Locations Visited:
✅ Cromeleque dos Almendres
✅ Roman Temple of Évora
✅ Évora Cathedral (Sé de Évora)
✅ Câmara Municipal (Roman Baths)
✅ Praça do Giraldo
✅ Igreja de São Francisco & Chapel of Bones
✅ Café Arcada & Café Alentejo

Another wonderful and interesting video. Thank you! I thinkbif I toured Portugal for 10 years, it wouldn't be enough to learn all about her history and beauty. Well done!

Que bom! Por coincidência ou não vou iniciar a minha aventura de bikepacking esta terça-feira, precisamente em Évora.
Este café Alentejo já esta na lista... and, you're to BLAME! 😎

We made a quick stop in Evora a few weeks ago to see the Roman ruins and have lunch on our way down to the Algarve from Lisbon airport. Thanks to the Algarve Addicts team: Nick, Duarte and Ana Teresa we have found a home near Loulé and are moving forward with the purchase. We are looking forward to relocating to this beautifukl area in the first part of 2026. Your vidieos were extremely helpful when we began researching areas of the world where we might like to retire. After spending a couple of weeks in central Algarve earlier this month I think we have definately made the right choice

Nice, as always! I'm just going to put it out there that I enjoy your film-making much more than the AI images and videos. I think they lower the quality and utility of all your hard work.

I have a question, though. How's the espresso in little places like that at the start of the video?

Oi Nico! Enjoying all the travel vlogs. I'd be delighted to ride shotgun if you're still doing some travel vlogs when I arrive in April!

BTW, I really like and agree with what you said about A Capela Dos Ossos. It's not a Ripley's museum and one should only go inside if capable of behaving with reverence as if at a funeral Mass - perhaps visit only on Holy Thursday in order to pray some more after you've been to Mass.

For a newbies to Evora, you'll have a much better and authentic experience than inside the Chapel if you admire the outside architecture then head down the western steps toward the mercado municipal. Avoid the oft-overcrowded tourist-traps when you're hungry/thirsty.

That's Beja in the map, not Évora

The city of Beja is where the city of Évora is marked, it is wrong because the city of Évora is above
