zeefixesart Drama Part 1-4 Compilation (the twitter artist who got hacked for fixing art)
** EDIT: I made a mistake in part one of the video and i held myself accountable for it, after filming the video, without knowing, I kept mis-appropriating their pronouns using she/her instead of they/them in the video, my sincere apologies to Zee, i was corrected by various commenters that pointed this out to me, thank you to them.

I had someone "fix " art i drew of myself wearing a starfire costume because i had cosplayed her at a recent con .
They made me black told me im racist for drawing myself pale .... Im an Asian woman .im also pretty pale .

Zeefixesart's controversy on "fixing art" is a valuable lesson that if something, especially if it's an art work, is not broken and inconsistent, just don't fix it.

zeefixes art was definitely one of the weirdest art trolls i ever seen, i remember first seeing her "fixed art" in 2020

You know that feeling when one of your favourite creators uploads a video but then it turns out it’s just a compilation of their best videos

I never liked the term, "fixed art" its basically telling the person that everything they do is wrong even though what i like might be something you dont like and vise versa, its all a matter of opinion. As a community we should really just let eachother draw what we like and have fun and only call out people when they actually do something harmful.

There's an artist I follow who "fixes" art but she does it by talking about movement, dynamic poses, and angles. She gives you genuine helpful criticisms and is someone who "fixes" art the right way.

Honestly when Zee got "hacked", I already felt like they're the same person by the art style

the way you can tell that zee is a troll is the fixed versions of touhou characters, like “desexualizing” them is so funny because their designs are the farthest from sexualized.
also honestly i kind of believe the theory that it was creepshow art, there’s too many little things in common.

Oh boy, this is one hell of a Christmas present for us who are into art drama.

i remember years ago when i was on deviantArt, i posted an original character with bright red hair with purple shading and someone in the comments gave me tips on how to color and shade ginger hair in a more natural way. they were very respectful about it and it was good advice, but i let them know the choice of colors for the hair was on purpose but thanks anyway. that turned into a bunch of different artists trying to fight me on how to correctly color ginger hair and that i was wrong even after i let them know i wasn't trying to do ginger hair. one person wants to be helpful then everyone does and if their help isn't being accepted, it gets toxic. i have since "fixed" that character's design as it was too much lol

The idea of fixing art kind of baffles me because a lot of "art fixing" just looks like a "draw this in your style" type challenge? And why can't people just have fun re-designing a character in their own style instead of claiming it's being "fixed"???

To me, when someone “fixes” a piece of art by “desexualizing” it and making the character black… It means the fixer sees black people as “not sexy”. And that’s just bad.

Also how the fuck is it that hard to NOT make the skin of a black character look like ash? Humans have veins and blood! Yeah, you can have cool colors and stuff, but still, skin, be it white or black, is NOT ASH OR MARBLE. There’s life, under there!

I think the morals zee worked upon are also so odd, because they claim to be desexualizing these characters, but then change them to people of color and making them “fat” as if anyone who is fat or have darker skin can’t be considered sexy/attractive….. (???)

I remember being so confused when Zee first started posting “fixed” art. It wasn’t hard to tell that they were a troll just by looking at the ashy skin tones, but I still saw some people on Twitter trying to defend their work! Changed the brain chemistry of the art community fr

"Fixing" people's art removes uniqueness, art style and the idea behind the art.

I've got no problem with people drawing my art in their style but if someone ever "fixed" my art I would have a problem with that. It's a shame that people like this exist.

Here from discord! I like to listen to your videos while I draw, so thank you for taking the time to compile this.

Art "Fixing" is just non-character designers thinking they know how to better design characters, And it often comes from a place of hate where they care more about looking good to internet strangers than making good art on there own.

She isn't an artist. An artist can create their own characters, not steal other people's work and turn them all into the same boring character. I would love to see her create her own OC beautifully rendered like the art she steals from, good enough to be on their own show, like the art she steals from.

Baseline: Just don't fix people's stuff without permission. Nobody has the right to fix other people's artwork no matter how controversial it may seem.
