4th Metacarpal Spiral Fracture - Recovery

I broke my 4th Metacarpal shaft - spiral fracture on Sept 5, 2020 It took 1 week before I was able to get into a cast then I wore a cast until Oct 12, 2020. This Video is me one week out the cast. Please be encouraged

I broke the same bone for the same finger, yours looks great! I got a huge lump on the top of my hand. Been 4 weeks

I broke my 4th. Dr said 3 months to heal. My mom was just diagnosed with a serious cancer so I don't think I can go Bach to dr. :( did you wear cast/ brace for the 3 months? He said 3 months to heal

4 years later (almost) how is it now? I broke the ring finger metacarpal bone, had surgery about a year ago and still feel pain when I clinch or if I try to extend the middle and ring fingers backwards.
Does it still hurt after 4 years?

Had the same injury on my right hand and had to be put on cast for 3wks. Im now on my 1st wk after the cast was removed. Im having problems with my grip holding a pen is very painful 😞

Hello sir my 5th metacarpal was fractured (oblique fracture ), and it's just in position, doctor said just split is enough for 6weeks. 15days back split is removed, now 2months and 10days completed, but fracture lines still visible, how long it will take to go off fracture lines on x-ray, metacarpal fractured lines still visible after 2months??? how long it will take to disappear fractured lines on X-ray.. can I do physiotherapy because, fractured lines are still visible now. please tell me, thanks in advance....

I broke mine, I've been in a cast for 6 weeks. I get mine off tomorrow. But my doc had my back. I couldn't move my ring finger at all. It sucks

I am off my cast 2 days ago.
I don't have the same grip strength.
Did you have the same problem? Has your grip strength improved?
