"Sounds like a 'movie' Magnus and Hans in Paris" lmao

One thing about agadmator chess analysis is that its very instructive not going into unnecessary lines and calculations. It is the simple analysis that is so helpful for me. The way I fell inlove with this channel is when I first came across a Tal video commentary by Agadmator ofcourse, in addition Tal's playing style got me hooked to the channel ever since. The whole legend of Michael Tal is just fascinating.
Thank you Agadmator and absolutely keep doing your thing we love it❤.

So Magnus gave up 3 pawns in the opening, went on to keep the rest of them until the game finished, with him being up 3 pawns. Crazy stuff

I just told my friends at the bar and library about the new summer romantic comedy movie, "Magnus and Hans in Paris"

9:08 i died ... "It sounds like a movie... Magnus and Hans in Paris" 🤣 Just imagine the two of them sitting enjoying their morning coffe and suddenly something "bad" happens and they draw their chess board and challanges each other for a final showdown, while the skies just turn dark and rain and thunder starts falling hard like an Apocalypse is coming... (omg, i think i'm drunk)

0:04 "who will meet THE Hans Niemann" is a phrase that speaks for itself

Magnus was messing around in the bullet section. I think he felt sorry for Arjun as he's a nice kid.

Ah yes, the sequel to "Prag is black" - "Who was in Paris?"

It’s the Olympics putting on a show.

Hans and MC are going for a bare knuckle fight.

What a time to be in Paris!

Chess without drama is like chess without a horse. Good entertainment for us chess fans

A lotta hype after Hans beat So and MVL. I'm sure Magnus beats him convincingly but he's getting a call from Mr. Rensch if he wants to sit out, especially with the proctor monitoring Hans

4:15 ok so im not great at chess so im confused as to why this position is bad for black. Is it not 3 pawns, a bishop and a knight for the a queen? Are the pieces so inactive or poorply placed that the immense material surplus is useless? I could see that with 2 knights (maybe) but its a bishop pair as well and ive seen at least one gm game where the bishop pair beat a queen.

Magnus played Hans online on 09 Jul 2024 in Titled Tuesday (Magnus won)

Not just Magnus and Hans that will be interesting but Hikaru and Alireza too! Fun times.

I haven't played chess in several years now, but when I was highly active playing many games a day, the Catalan was my least favorite opening to face. I did prep from the Black side, of course, but I never really understood what was happening. It just seemed like if White was anywhere close to equally prepared and didn't play like a total motion, then there was literally nothing I could do to avoid my position being overrun. (I was an e4 player with White, so I never studied or played the White side of a Catalan.) Then there are high level super GM games like this where it seems no different. Whatever response black chooses against the Catalan, the position is always just crappy and terrible to play. To this day, if I had to pick a single "best opening" in chess, I would say it's the white side of the Catalan, and if I hadn't been an e4 player with white, I 100% would have been playing the Catalan.

black can play bishop to b2, attacking the white's queen, , , no need to sac your queen

Did Hans Niemann really say "have ran" or is this a typo?
