2008 GSXR Neutral Light not working // FIXED

Neutral light didn’t work unless I put the kickstand down and back up.

Yes for sure! It won’t let me paste a link, but all you have to do is do a search for 07 gsxr 600 kickstand sensor. It’s around $30-$50! Wish I would have recorded the process, but if you feel comfortable working on your bike, it’s really simple actually

I'm having the same issue. For some reason I thought this was an old video and nobody posted about this problem anymore, but just realised you only posted this 4 hours ago! I've been suspecting the kick stand sensor too. Could be grit or something. I'll try changing it to see if it does the trick like yours. Thanks for posting this vid. :)

Hello, my 2010 gsxr 1000 has the same problem, however i already change the kickstand sensor and keeps doing the same thing, the next thing, is trying the gear position sensor to see if the problem desappear!!

Interesting stuff mate, mines is playing up, and I never thought to try the kickstand sensor, so I will give that a try before stripping out the GPS. Can I ask, was the 0 for neutral missing on the display? mines is showing a dash - in lieu of the 0 for neutral and off-course no green light illuminated either.

Changed on my k9 the sensor and still have problem. Cleaned the GPS. Any idea? 😭

So recently my neutral light has been staying on & illuminated and my gear indicator screen will stop indicating what gear I’m in 06 gsx-r 1000.. although lastnight after starting the bike from sitting a few hours everything worked normally for and a few minutes.. went riding neutral light was on and gear numbers disappeared.. kept rising I could see what gear I was in now but the neutral light was still on .. also I got rid of kickstand sensor because new kickstand I ordered didn’t have the tab on it to depressed the sensor
