100 year old church destroyed by fire: 3 firefighters injured

Three firefighters were injured battling a fire at a century-old church in south central Los Angeles early Sunday, including one who had to be rescued when the ceiling collapsed on him, authorities said. KTLA's Erin Myers reports. Sept. 11, 2022.

Looks pretty modern for a 100 year old church. Maybe that's the name of the church, "one hundred year old".

...Looks kind of boxy and modern for being 100 years old, but then again, it might've not originally been a church... Besides by 1923, architects were very much designing structures with a "futuristic" and "art deco" boxy look... I just didn't think that motif had gotten to buildings like places of worship yet, but then again, this is California!

Thank God no one died in our case we were getting to the finishing on the roof and the building the church had done other work in this building and some how the homeless lived around the building because it was empty a long time and every time we leave they go there in side the gates there and set up camp mark on building and really call it home for them self.it was Good friday and that sat to that Easter sunday we had a fire burn the back of the building and most of the new parts have to be redone we still are going even if the building had to be aired out we now need moneys to redo the insides and roof and bathrooms we need help.

A church need to be build of stones and a clay as a shelter from disaster and collapse in the dangerous world. But that one was build like a danger itself. Run away from the building out.

Not firefighters they are firemen using fire fighting equipment and they work on a fire crew
