The scene where he was rejected for a role at the door really highlighted the fact that just because someone is white does not mean their life is all roses, in fact this whole movie showed that. He didn't get the role as the Latino delivery guy because he wasn't "what they were looking for" mostly because when most Americans imagine a Latino person or someone from South America they never imagine someone who is white, they always have this stereotypical look in their head of how they should look like. This was  also highlighted when the producer told him to darken his hair.

It’s an ok movie. Some of what he goes through, reminds me. Of what black skin Latino actors go through, for so call not looking Latino enough.

Interesting. Thank you. Is it sad? Everyone is 'playing their part' to enter the international film industry in a personal and professional way, aren't they? Do you get the impression it is sad or is there an awareness, consent and care for each other that comes from them knowing as a community they all play a part, where they might all benefit?
