Flutter SDK Tutorial - Animations (App Development)

In this tutorial, I guide you through making a simple animation with Flutter for both Android and iOS. We look at the Animation, AnimationController and TickerProviderStateMixin /SingleTickerProviderStateMixin classes and how to use them.

NOTE: I'm using the android simulator, but you can simply open an iPhone simulator to run the same code!

Be sure to ask for help in the comments if you need any help. Suggestions for future Flutter tutorials are also very welcome! :D

Flutter is an SDK owned by Google to create applications for Android and iOS using a single codebase. Flutter uses the Dart programming language (also owned by Google). Flutter was in alpha when I released this video, so things might still change a bit. But the SDK is already mature enough to write some cool apps!

I'm sorry about the last few minuted looking a little laggy. My computer has been really slow for the past couple of weeks and I assume that that's also why I was getting the error with Flutter. Haven't heard any one else with these problems so I'm pretty sure the problem is on my end. But some good news, I got a new microphone! Which was necessary because my computer was making more sound then a helicopter when I was trying to record this...

At one point, I said that the animation value never goes above 1.0 or bellow 0.0 but a few minutes later, I show an example where it can be bellow 0.0. What I wanted to say is that the standard beginning and ending values of curvedAnimations is 0.0 and 1.0 respectively!

Awesome tutorial! Good job with it but i have a question about animations. Imagine that i want to make an animation that changes the width and the height of one container at the same time. Maybe height from 50-100 and width from 150-250. How can i change the value from 1 to X? And, can i control two different values (width and height in this case) with the same controller? Ty a lot!
