I would have to disagree, people buying midrange phones are heavy users too. I am a good example. I can't afford to spend $1, 000 on a phone but I am a tech enthusiast. So I push my phones to the limit using them. I had the a50, a51 and a52 and I used them heavily. The reason you can use them heavily is because the battery life is better on these midrange phones than flagship devices. I do think Samsung should've released the a55 in the US instead of the s23 FE that's nothing more than a lazy cash grab.

The Exynos 1480 is really underrated. Great battery life and great performance as well. I really don't care how it performs in benchmark tests.

i am considering buying this phone for a few months now. My iPhone 13 has a display issue and I don't want to spend so much money. Here in Germany I can buy the 55. Sounds like an amazing deal for 320€. I use my phone a lot but only for light stuff like WhatsApp and insta. I am a little scared of the little lags you talk about. If its just here and there a little longer to load its okay but heavier lags would annoy me.. Rest seems really good tho :)

well, I'm watching this in my a52, and it's still working flawlessly the battery performance is good. even after the last update (oneUI 6.1 android 14) I even install good lock on it to give it some customization and it looks awesome like if i just got a new phone and yes I'm a heavy user. so I don't understand you're point on why these A series are not good for heavy use😂

I am a one using the a53 well I use my phone a lot and from my experience a53 lasts a long time even longer than a iphone. My phone lasts me 9 hours on heavy usage and 2 or 3 days for very light usage

Comparing the Exynos 1480 to a flagship snapdragon is a bit unfair. Furthermore you say that all Exynos processors are bad. But some snapdragons can be verry bad as well, they can be hot (which the Exynos1480 is not (like ever)), snapdragons can also be slow and they can be laggy. I am using the phone for a while now, if you don't want to play heavy games like pub g or fortnight you will be fine. I can still play most games with ultra settings.

I've been using samsung phones for 9 years one thing that i don't like in samsung phones every time have new updates I've noticed that the phone is much slower after an update 😅 my latest samsung that I've using is a53 5g always lagging and to slow even not to much activity 😅

No A55 in the US? I don't even like this new design anyway. I'll keep my A51 and replace the battery myself.

India version here. It's good. Just turn off some device and software features following some Asian guys videos. Now the battery lasts 16 hours (not into heavy gaming, tho)
