this is a good video because i wanted to find out this exact question myself, but i feel like having to pay $600 a month to rent the space for a tiny home goes against the whole point of the tiny home, if youre paying $600 rent and on top of that have to pay for the tiny home itself, that is comparable to buying a cheap traditional home in some cheap areas (obviously not a major city) and having a mortgage. the people creating $600 a month tiny home villages are exploiting the tiny home enthusiasts and we should probably focus on figuring how to put a tiny home on our own land legally instead of paying these guys $600 a month forever.

We need resident owned tiny communities. Where we buy into the land or we rent the space to own a share of stock like a coop mobile home park.

There are at least 3 other tiny home communities in Tennessee. One is Haven Farms in east TN, another is being delevoped near Chatanooga. The other is one near Nashville. I think the most affordable community is Incredible Tiny Homes with a lot rent of $200 a month.

For Incredible Tiny Homes in Newport TN, they've had Residents for 3 years+ and still no real amenities.
The trail they made around the perimeter used to be wide enough to drive a golf cart on, now you have to walk single file and it's blocked in several places by building materials. The Dog Park was installed by Residents who got tired of waiting, and it often floods and is blocked again by building materials. There is no community center, nowhere for Residents to gather inside and have a larger gathering. The ponds are for looks only, no swimming, fishing, or kayaking (there's signs saying so).
They don't allow you to film anything on site without written permission (signs right as you come in telling you that), so good luck trying to be a Resident with a YouTube channel featuring the Communities...
As of March 25, 2025, ITH has sent out an Official email to their Residents stating that if they sell or transfer ownership (like willing it to a relative), the home CANNOT STAY on the lot, it must be permanently moved out. So if you want to live there, you will have to buy a Brand new house (with associated wait time of months and months instead of right away). They claim it's for the safety and security of the residents (I've seen the email, with letterhead and signatures). They could just do a background check on new residents buying an existing home. This makes no sense.
Oh, and the County Planning Department has said that ITH never got permission to build Any of the Communities, they never submitted proper paperwork. So proceed with caution.

My route to work was slowed down today by a tiny house on its way somewhere. Usually I am not happy about traffic but once I saw it was a tiny house I didn’t mind the delay one bit!

It is so hard to live in a tiny home on the west coast, or at least in California. I'm glad to hear that Tiny Tranquility is planning to build one in northern California! Incredible Tiny Homes would be a fantastic place to live, but I'd be too far away from anyone I know.

There is another tiny house community in Texas on a small lake/pond. It’s called The Waters and it is close to Dallas. It also has nice amenities.

Thanks, Jenna. Maybe next year you can come visit another community in Florida too. Gracious Tiny House Park on Lake Okeechobee. Simple, quiet, $450 standard/ $550 waterfront lot rent. No amenities, just sunshine, constant breeze & fishing. They have one rental THOW, $1200 annual lease I think. Southernmost tiny house community, an hour from W Palm. Low key, casual, no pretense, just real folks there. Cmon down!
