Very good analysis. This means HDFC bank won't perform for next 5 yrs. Time to sell and go to other scripts

1. Retail and Whoelsale margins are after considering the provisions. So its not surprising and its has not dropped yet.
2. It could be the case that Provisions have been made because they had exceptional income of 7K cr and they are expecting tax relief in the coming complete budget. That is why they have given big dividend, distributed ESOPs and also have given good apraisals which are reflected in employee cost.

1) why they didn't impaired goodwill before declaring dividend
2) what is a need for payment of such a huge dividend when capital adequacy ratio is suffering
