We live in Port Charlotte and lost everything. The insurance companies are already throwing excuses to not pay up, like saying they dont consider it a flood but a surge. Fema has told us they haven't declared the area a state of emergency, so we cant get help from them either. I know we are not alone in this destruction, but i can't help feeling hopeless and desgusted by the lack of help. Cant put it in any other words than we are fucked.
