Every year over the first weekend of September, the northern French city of Lille near the Belgian border turns into a massive open-air flea market. Vendors, antique dealers and local residents occupy every inch of pavement in the city center to lay out their wares. The Grande Braderie de Lille, as the annual event is called, attracts bargain-hunters, shoppers and tourists from all over the world. Whether you’re looking for a vintage treasure, a household object, or you just want to soak in some typical northern French culture, this flea market brimming with superlatives is just the place.

We used to go to the big one in Frankfurt as teenagers. None of us were scared to hope trains or buses and neither were our parents. Those were the days. Had so much fun.😊

If your a hoarder then this is for you. It's same thing as Peckham market and overpriced for used stuff.

Looks like most of the things sold are what people have discarded and don't want anymore. Go for it if you want to clutter your house.
