Imagine thinking that inside the park grand slam was hitting rock bottom. And then realizing the Red Sox still had 18 more runs to give up.

The Boston Red Sox managed to hit 4 HOME RUNS in ONE GAME against the Blue Jays.

They lost by 23 runs.

I chose this game for me and my friends first red sox game. I thought this was gonna be a closer ish game. At least I got to see history.

This happened on Blue Jays' legend Dave Stieb's birthday. This would've been like a year's worth of run support for him.

Jomboy, that was an inside the park GRAND SLAM, not just a home run. A rare event in baseball that should be called out.

I didn't even notice this until the breakdown but Tapia was like 20 ft away from having a traditional Grand Slam AND an inside the park Grand Slam in the same game... Would've been insane

I live in Boston, and watching the people walking to their cars in full Sox attire dead inside while sitting at a bar was quite the experience.

Watching this game live as a Red Sox fan was like watching a slow motion stroke. Absolutely piss poor effort

You know it’s rough when a Yankees fan is genuinely concerned for the Red Sox

Center field giving up and walking to the ball should result in him being sent down to a triple A team.

2:10 As a Red Sox fan, I had the same thought of wondering why he isn’t running after the ball, but I watched it a few more times and I think I know why. It looks like the ball bounced on the warming track, and hit the top of the wall before landing back on the warning track. By the time Duran sees the ball, it looks like it is falling down from the wall, almost as if it was a home run and simply fell out of the stands. Either that, or he simply saw Verdugo running towards it and just didn’t run

I was on a naval base in my hotel room watching this while my roommate ironed his neckerchief. I said “Dude, come look at this. Boston is down 28-5.” My roommate was from Boston and proceeded to have a major fit 😂😂

I am a Jays fan, watched this live, it was amazing. Once in a lifetime thing to see live, literally.

As a Jays fan whos only really been following baseball for the last few years, this was the most fun I've ever had watching a game.
I was watching the last Red Sox batter foul off a bunch of pitches with only one out left in the game and all I could think was "man, if I was that guy I would just take a strike so we could all go home".

As a Jays fan, the pure joy I had from the Jays beating the Red Sox to a pulp during that series can not be overstated

They played that way the entire series. They made at least 20 mistakes. I've never seen a team play that badly in a series before, ever. I keep hearing excuses. They have injuries, etc. A lot of teams have multiple injuries. KC was missing 10 players to covid rules when they came to Toronto. Nobody else plays that bad.

As a huge red Sox fan, this hurt to see. Duran doesn't seem to try much in the outfield. Just because you're down a lot in a game like this doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

This set a franchise record for most runs in a single game for the Jays. The previous record of 24 was set back during only their second season of existence in 1978, during a game against Baltimore at the old Exhibition Stadium in Toronto.

As a Jays fan, I will never forget my reactions and where I was watching this game. Truly a once in a lifetime moment and I am glad I got to see the Jays set the franchise record for runs scored in a game.

What I love about this play is the guy in center field just casually strolls towards the wall while Tapia is running around the bases.
