I’m actually selling stocks this week from my M1 account that I have gains in…only leaving VTI to build up in there👌🏾

I know...not related to the poll you requested but this vid made me wonder about monitoring. How often do you monitor your stocks? And if you have stocks that pay dividends, how do you know it? I'm on Robinhood and still haven't figured this out. I know you've posted a vid on dividends but I need a real beginning look at how to manage them to my benefit. Thank you for all the tips you give us! Always a pleasure on my Sundays! And yes! A vid on reallocating stocks would also be helpful! 💜

You have to report stock sales whether they are gains or losses because the IRS does not know if it is a gain for the seller or not.

Priceless! So, when I retire, how do I set a percentage of the total pie to go to my personal checking account?

I just totaled my car, so I need to withdraw some funds to buy another one. My auto invest is always off, but every time I have sold in the past (usually by updating my portfolio by changing the stock I want to sell to 0%) it always automatically goes into another stock! How do I keep it in buying power so I can transfer to my bank? My dividends do go into buying power, but there is no way I can accumulate enough to buy a car, lol.

My account only says add bank. I do not see the blue transfer icon. Did they change the way to take out money or can I only transfer during NYSE open hours?

Is there a fee for sending the money to your checking or savings account?

You should not be on margin. If you need to pay back your margin, selling stocks could be an option. Especially nowadays with the looming recession.
