It is terrifying to imagine that an alien out in their universe so strong and fast that it can conquer planets within a minute. Imagine blinking and all of a sudden it is chaos

Edit: I keep seeing people with bad reading comprehensions. What I meant to say is that if one minute is all they need to conquer an entire planet then they can destroy a town in a blink of an eye.

I like how they portrayed Superman here, since he is slower than The Flash naturally, but still has comparable speed to speedsters... but only if he has the time to accelerate up to those speeds.

In this timeframe, this difference is nicely illustrated since he does eventually speed up enough grab one of the villains. He is fast, but he can't defy the laws of motion entirely like speedsters, but he can push against them and do his best.

It seems like the comic is insinuating that with enough time, superman could get up to similar speeds as the other speedsters, but that he can't accelerate nearly instantaneously like speedsters can.

This comic shows Superman coming up to speed, not as his full speed. He doesn't have the reaction time that speedsters do, so it took him a few seconds to accelerate himself whereas speedsters were able to react instantly

Barry said definitively, given enough time Superman will eventually catch up. That’s incredible to conceptualize. Not only does it show you how much respect for Clark Barry has. It also shows that Superman is far from a monolith, constantly growing and adapting. Scary to consider Superman might have genuinely limitless potential.
