This movie scared the crap out of me when I was 10! When I saw it again later in life I realised how much fun Tim Curry seemed to have while playing Pennywise. He had a goofy yet scary thing about him all at once!

Love how much Tim Curry had a blast playing Pennywise. IMO is the scariest horror character. Just needed a small change in facial expression to be terrifying and menacing.

When I first saw It at around 12 or 13 when it originally aired it scared the crap out of me, we were at my uncles house for Christmas and he is a Stephen King fan so he thought what better way to entertain a bunch of young kids then to show them a mini series who as Dr. Frasier Crane on Cheers said was about, "A killer clown who lures kids into the sewers and swallows them whole!". Anyways, I had seen Tim Curry in Clue a few years before which is still one of my favorite movies and I had no idea Tim was Pennywise in It until 1994 when we were campling and I was reading a copy of MAD magazine and inside I think on the letters to the editors page there was a picture of Pennywise and the kids from it and the caption read Tim Curry and the cast from it, my point is that is how absolutly amazing Tim was in this movie I had no idea that he was Pennywise in IT until years later and it blue my mind!

I feel like Curry will always be the best you can rely on CGI to make him scaryfor having thelowest budget I think he's the creepiest and was always terrifying for me as a kid, skassgard did a good job but all I could ever imagine when he talked wad a sinister pooh bear and I'd just start laughing 😅
