Botswana is the best example of how to properly decolonize a country. If only every African nation was decolonized and achieved their independence the way Botswana did. Today Botswana is the most stable and prosperous country on the African continent; with a thriving democracy and promising economic development. It still has it’s problems, like it’s over reliance on the diamond mining industry that allowed it to achieve it’s wealth and growth, but they’re in the process of moving away from diamonds and fossil fuels and towards tourism and more eco friendly industries. If I had the choice to visit any African country, Botswana would be my choice 🇧🇼
